If your manual transmission 2.0 car with 120,000 kilometers is making a metallic clashing sound above 80 km/h, it might be related to the transmission chain. However, manual transmissions typically do not have chains; they usually have gears. It might be a good idea to have a professional mechanic check it out to pinpoint the exact issue.

The first batch of cars with manual transmissions were recalled before, so some might not have gone through the process. Try changing the transmission oil. Speaking from the experience of a 9-year owner.
