Why does my 2008 imported Mazda 3 hatchback idle at 1200 RPM during cold starts, while it's usually at 1000 RPM? How can I fix this?

Cold start with high idle speed is normal. Once the engine warms up, the idle speed will decrease. The high idle is to quickly heat up the catalytic converter.

Suggest selling the car to solve problems. Just in time for buying one for my wife to commute to work.
