Recently, my fuel consumption has suddenly increased significantly. I suspect it might be the carbon canister purge valve. How should I check it? Can any experts help out?

Check the fuel injectors, spark plugs, and charcoal canister. The charcoal canister typically has minimal impact, but if it's damaged, you might smell gasoline inside the car.
