When using the paddle shift manual mode in the HS with the S gear, do I need to press the brake pedal to change gears? In the past, when I drove a fully manual transmission, there was a clutch pedal. [Facepalm][Facepalm][Facepalm][Facepalm]

No need to use the brake, generally don't use the S gear, mostly use the D gear. S gear might consume too much fuel.

You don't need to step on the brake, but I feel that just pressing the accelerator and using the paddle shifters to shift gears is somewhat slower, and the RPM tends to be higher. Adjusting the throttle pressure slightly can improve it a bit. If you like, you can gradually get used to it.

It's not necessary, but if you keep pressing the accelerator while manually shifting gears, there can be some jerking. Sometimes, you need to ease off the accelerator to shift gears smoothly.

The manual indicates that the "S" gear is the Sport mode. I'm still figuring out how to use the paddle shifters.

When the engine is idling, the RPM is stable at around 800. However, when you press the clutch and shift gears, the RPM increases to 1200 (without releasing the clutch, just purely shifting gears). What could be the reason for this? (The transmission, clutch, and flywheel have been checked and there are no abnormalities.) Car model: Manual rear-wheel drive Mazda 6-speed manual RX-8 Type S.

Is your 2018 manual KIA Pegas with 70,000 km experiencing difficulty in shifting gears, often failing to engage and grinding? It seems like the clutch isn't fully disengaging. Could this be a clutch issue or a problem with the gear linkage? How can it be resolved?

[Shocked] What's up with this car? Starting in S mode, I floored the pedal, the RPM hit 4000 and it was still in 2nd gear without shifting up automatically. It only shifted to 3rd gear after releasing the throttle for 3 seconds.
