Registered in November 2015, 1.5T Luxury version, driven 100,000 km. Recently, when accelerating a bit too hard, it feels like it shifts to neutral; the engine revs, but the dashboard still shows D gear. If I release the gas pedal and wait for a second or two, then accelerate slowly, it goes back to normal. I can't accelerate suddenly, only gradually. Has anyone else experienced this problem? It's been repaired several times but still not resolved.

At 40,000 kilometers, I had a warranty claim for the clutch assembly, and it hasn't happened again since.

That's what's called a dual-clutch issue! Sometimes when you're driving and want to overtake, you step on the gas, but the RPM goes up without a matching increase in speed.

I have a 2017 model with the same issue. I even went to the repair shop to ask if it's a problem with the transmission mechatronic unit.

Have you ever gone to a dealership to upgrade your car's infotainment system after purchasing it?

The transmission is slipping. Better get it fixed early, or it'll cost more later on.

The mechatronics unit is malfunctioning.

I've been experiencing this issue with my car from 2015, which started appearing occasionally in the past couple of years. After refueling, the RPM goes up, but it's like the car suddenly brakes automatically. I have to immediately release the gas pedal, and then after a second or two, I can gradually accelerate normally. There's no clear pattern to it. I had it checked during maintenance, and they said there's no problem. It's quite frustrating. If anyone knows what this might be, please let me know.

I also experience this occasionally, seems like a common issue. Mine is a 2016 1.5T.

The condition of the car is basically the same. The issue first appeared at 90,000 kilometers, but I didn't address it. After 96,000 kilometers, it hasn't occurred again. Even with frequent rapid acceleration recently, the problem hasn't shown up.

Hey everyone, I've got an issue with my new Beidouxing. When I slow down, it just stops moving even though the engine is still running. The gear lever feels loose, and I can't accelerate. The power windows should go down gradually, but instead, they drop all the way down uncontrollably. The mechanic couldn't figure it out either. Could anyone help analyze what's wrong? Thanks!

There's a rattling noise like a loose plastic shell when accelerating while driving, but it's not there when revving in neutral. The noise also disappears when you press the accelerator pedal down hard after accelerating.

My 2017 MG GS automatic luxury version has been driven over 108,000 kilometers in five years. A few days ago, while driving on the highway, [when accelerating uphill and pressing the gas pedal deeply, the power suddenly disappeared. I could only hear the engine revving without moving forward]. I checked and confirmed it was in D gear, tried switching to S gear but it didn't help. After turning on the hazard lights to let the cars behind pass, I pulled over, switched to neutral, and then back to D gear, and it could drive normally again. I don't know what the issue is. Could any knowledgeable teachers or friends advise? Thanks [smile].

Hello everyone, could someone help me with this issue? When in Park and idling, if I rev the engine above 1600 RPM and then release the throttle, the RPM stays around 1600 for about ten seconds before it drops. This doesn't happen if I don't exceed 1600 RPM. Between 1600 and 2000 RPM, there's a noticeable jolt. Additionally, when shifting gears and slowly accelerating, there's a rattling noise between 1600 and 2000 RPM, but it disappears after 2000 RPM. Does anyone have any insights on this? I would really appreciate it. The car model is a 2016 30T two-wheel drive. Thank you very much!

Guys, I'm really freaking out. Just now, while driving smoothly, the D gear light (the one on the gear shift) started flashing, and the dashboard showed "Please shift to D gear first before selecting the appropriate gear." I was in a panic and didn't know whether to press the brake and shift to P gear or shift to P gear and then to D gear, and then it prompted "Speed too high to shift into D gear (or maybe P gear, I forgot)." It was terrifying, the car felt like it was in neutral and there was no power when I pressed the accelerator. I managed to park on the side using inertia, shifted back to P gear, and then to D gear, and it resumed normal driving. I want to ask you guys, what's going on here exactly? Is there a specific part that's malfunctioning?

Hey car enthusiasts, can anyone help me out? My 2015 manual Sunny only revs up to 2000 RPM when I floor the gas pedal, and the acceleration feels weak. What could be the issue?

As a new driver, I've only driven the 2019 2.0 model, and I find the acceleration quite sluggish. When I press the gas pedal deeply, the engine needs to reach around 1800-2000 RPM to speed up a bit, and the engine noise is quite loud. Is this normal for a naturally aspirated engine with a CVT? I tried using the DS mode, which seems to provide what I consider normal acceleration, but I noticed the RPM goes up to four or five thousand. My friend's 1.5T Geely doesn't make much noise and feels more powerful.

I have a 2017 automatic model with 50,000 kilometers on it. Recently, I've noticed three particularly obvious issues: 1. When starting at traffic lights, even with light acceleration, I can hear the engine howling. The fuel consumption spikes to 19.9, the engine revs up to 2000 RPM, but the acceleration is very slow. 2. When driving home from work and going up the parking ramp, I often find that even with the gas pedal pressed, there's no power. The RPM goes up to 3000, and the fuel consumption also spikes. 3. Occasionally, when starting the car, it will shake and then stall by itself. Overall, driving at speeds between 0-40 is uncomfortable, but things improve above 60, especially on the highway. Acceleration and overtaking are fine at higher speeds. It's quite frustrating. Is anyone else experiencing the same issues?

Today, while driving my 2020 automatic Chery Arrizo 5, I heard a squeaky noise from the accelerator pedal when I pressed it to accelerate. When I released the pedal, it didn't return to its original position and kept accelerating, which scared me, so I quickly braked and pulled over to turn off the engine. I then shifted to neutral and started the engine, which roared to over 4000 RPM. After turning it off, I manually adjusted the pedal, heard the squeak again, and then it started working normally. Occasionally, there's still a noise when pressing the accelerator, but the pedal returns to normal. Does anyone know what might be causing this issue or what might be broken?
