My 2017 MG GS automatic luxury version has been driven over 108,000 kilometers in five years. A few days ago, while driving on the highway, [when accelerating uphill and pressing the gas pedal deeply, the power suddenly disappeared. I could only hear the engine revving without moving forward]. I checked and confirmed it was in D gear, tried switching to S gear but it didn't help. After turning on the hazard lights to let the cars behind pass, I pulled over, switched to neutral, and then back to D gear, and it could drive normally again. I don't know what the issue is. Could any knowledgeable teachers or friends advise? Thanks [smile].

Congratulations on your purchase of the real MG RX5! I also have a wet transmission, and at over 140,000 kilometers, I encountered the same issue. I ended up spending over 8,000 to replace the valve body. Now it's at 190,000 kilometers!

The transmission valve body or clutch might have issues. Back in May, I had a major transmission repair where I replaced the valve body, clutch, and release bearing. Fixing my MG made my heart ache.

The gear shift light for the 150 isn't on. Could it be because a button wasn't pressed, like the ones for P, R, D?

The gear shift light for the 150 isn't working. Could it be that a button hasn't been turned on? The P, R, D indicators don't light up at night when the car is running.

Why can't the Pajero burn out when the brake is fully pressed and the accelerator is fully pressed in D gear, with the RPM only reaching a bit over 2000?

Does anyone know why my 2014 Touran, which has 140,000 km on it, sometimes has the D gear light flashing while driving and the accelerator doesn't respond? I have to turn off the engine, switch to P gear, and restart the car to drive again. What could be causing this?

Guys, I'm really freaking out. Just now, while driving smoothly, the D gear light (the one on the gear shift) started flashing, and the dashboard showed "Please shift to D gear first before selecting the appropriate gear." I was in a panic and didn't know whether to press the brake and shift to P gear or shift to P gear and then to D gear, and then it prompted "Speed too high to shift into D gear (or maybe P gear, I forgot)." It was terrifying, the car felt like it was in neutral and there was no power when I pressed the accelerator. I managed to park on the side using inertia, shifted back to P gear, and then to D gear, and it resumed normal driving. I want to ask you guys, what's going on here exactly? Is there a specific part that's malfunctioning?

Car enthusiasts: Sometimes when driving a small car, the D gear won't shift up. The RPM suddenly goes up, but the gear doesn't match. What could be the reason?

Hey guys, I have a 2019 Kicks. When I'm waiting at a red light and switch to N gear, then back to D, the acceleration feels noticeably slower. Has anyone else experienced this?

If you left your car in D gear overnight and found it without power the next morning, it could be due to the battery being drained. Does anyone know why this happened?

I recently got a CX-5 less than a month ago, and I noticed that when starting the car cold and shifting to D gear, there's a noticeable "jerking" sensation as the car moves forward. After driving for a while and the car warms up, when switching between N and D gear, the jerking sensation is still there but much less noticeable. Is this normal?
