Hey fellow car enthusiasts, my car is over seven years old and I haven't changed the tires yet. It's only been driven 60,000 kilometers. The tires are slightly aging, but I haven't driven much in recent years. It's mostly parked in the basement, so it's rarely exposed to the sun. Should I change the tires? I'm planning a long trip and am a bit worried!

Changing a tire doesn't cost much, and the Dongfeng YJ is a good budget-friendly alternative.

You must change it when driving on the highway; otherwise, you'll end up buying several cars.

If you're not driving on the highway, it's fine. But spending around a thousand bucks on safety...

My original tires lasted for over 90,000 kilometers before I replaced them. I only changed them because there were some cracks on the tire surface.

If you're looking for safety, I suggest you change them. If you're looking to save money, then it's up to you. For tire lifespan, replace them when they reach the wear limit. In terms of time, generally, they're due after 6 years. For cars that are driven frequently, aging starts around 5 years, with fine cracks appearing. If it's just fine cracks, you can still use them up to 6 years. If you're planning to drive on the highway, I personally don't recommend saving on this expense. There are plenty of cheap tires out there. You might use an over-aged tire on the highway 10 times without any issues, but it only takes one incident to cost you the price of 10 sets of tires. It's your decision to make.

No need to change it, just inflate the tires properly. It's normal for them to age. I am almost at 100,000 kilometers and haven't changed mine yet.
