When is it going to be released? I'm struggling with the 3.5L Highlander! It consumes 20 liters per 100 kilometers!

I have a question. I just got a 1.4T Touran. When I first start driving, the fuel consumption display shows over 20 liters per 100 kilometers. It only starts to decrease after driving for 10 to 20 kilometers, with the lowest being 7.5 liters. Is this normal? Is it the same for you guys?
