For a 2015 diesel Grand Cherokee, besides the original engine oil, what other options are suitable... Also, recently when I floor the accelerator around 2000 RPM, there's a whistling sound. Have any fellow car enthusiasts experienced this?

Has anyone replaced their glow plugs when they malfunctioned?

Using Castrol Euro 5W-30 feels lighter and provides smoother acceleration compared to the 40. After trying the 40, which felt sluggish in acceleration, I've switched back to the 30.

There's news going around that the manufacturer issued a notice to switch the diesel Grand Cherokee to 5w40 oil, but I'm not sure if it's true. I've been following a mechanic here who specializes in Land Rovers. He also recommends using 5w40 diesel-specific oil for diesel cars with high mileage, including the entire Land Rover diesel range. I'm planning to switch to 5w40 diesel-specific oil next time I change the oil.

Dear car enthusiasts, my little lion is a 2015 Peugeot 3008 premium version, and recently the fuel consumption is quite high at 11.6. It struggles to accelerate to around 80 km/h, even when I floor the accelerator. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Is it normal for a 2015 model to have a smooth start without accelerating, but require around 2000 RPM to start with acceleration, and then feel a noticeable jolt and tire slip?

I've had my car for four and a half years and it's only done 36,000 km. It's a 2019 model with the 4J11 engine. Recently, when I start it cold, the engine struggles a lot. The RPM doesn't go up immediately, and the needle wobbles between 500 and 1000 for a few seconds, making it feel like it's about to stall. Then the RPM suddenly jumps to 2000-3000 before settling back to normal idle after a few seconds. There are no warning lights, and once it's running, everything seems normal. I've cleaned the carbon buildup and throttle, and checked the intake for leaks, but the issue persists. I'm not sure what to check next. What should I look into?

Hey folks, I have a 2012 Grand Cherokee 5.7. Recently, the sound for the steering alert, seatbelt alert, and radar alert has disappeared. I guess it's probably an issue with the buzzer. But where is this buzzer located?

Hi everyone, I have a 2016 3.6 Grand Cherokee. Recently, after switching to 0-20 oil, I've noticed a "doo-doo" sound coming from the exhaust area inside the car. It's not very noticeable when I get out of the car, seems like some kind of resonance. Also, after the oil change, the engine sounds louder. I've driven 400 km since then and there's no improvement. Any ideas?

Is it normal for a 2015 Nissan Sunny manual transmission, with 80,000 kilometers, to have the RPM at 2000 when going over 70 mph in fifth gear?

I'm considering buying a used diesel Grand Cherokee with a budget of around 150,000. My budget is limited, and as a working-class individual, I'm considering diesel for its fuel efficiency. I'm currently driving a 2.0T Mondeo, and the fuel consumption for commuting is 11 liters per 100 km. My concern is that some people say diesel engines are unstable and have high maintenance costs later on. My driving scenario is mainly commuting to work, with a daily round trip of 20 km. I’m also thinking about long-distance travel with my family during holidays. I’d love to hear from actual owners about their experiences and what I should pay attention to when making a choice. Thank you very much.

Hey car enthusiasts, can anyone help me out? My 2015 manual Sunny only revs up to 2000 RPM when I floor the gas pedal, and the acceleration feels weak. What could be the issue?

Is your 2015 Jetta also like this, where the RPM only reaches around 3800 when you floor the gas pedal in neutral and doesn't hit 4000?
