When driving the Mitsubishi Galant and pressing the accelerator, if you hear a whooshing sound from the engine, it might feel like it's revving without much power. What's going on?

This situation is quite normal. When you rev the engine without driving, the engine RPM increases and you'll hear a similar sound. If the sound seems quite loud, it might be an issue with the engine oil. Next time during maintenance, try using an engine oil with better noise reduction properties.

When driving over 80 km/h and releasing the accelerator, I hear a consistent humming sound from the engine compartment, similar to the vibration of a phone ringing. Any ideas on what this might be?

When the windows are closed and the music is off, I can hear a faint ticking noise while gently pressing the accelerator in park mode. It seems to come from the center console, like a small motor vibrating. When I press the accelerator hard, the sound disappears. I can also hear it occasionally when driving at low speeds or when releasing the accelerator. The noise is noticeable when starting the car cold, and it feels like a metal-on-metal vibration or collision underfoot. Interestingly, after driving for a while, the sound goes away. However, if the car is stopped for a while and then started again, the noise returns initially but disappears after driving for a bit.

There's a rattling noise like a loose plastic shell when accelerating while driving, but it's not there when revving in neutral. The noise also disappears when you press the accelerator pedal down hard after accelerating.

When you warm up your car or are idling at a red light, can you hear a "tatata" sound inside the car? Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. It's not the engine sound. Even if you press the accelerator a bit, the "tatata" sound frequency stays the same. Not sure what's causing it.
