Guys, how's the resale value and safety of this car? Are Korean cars flimsy? I see this car has some weight to it.

If you're considering resale value, assume it depreciates by half in three years. For safety, you can check the crash test ratings; they are excellent.

Korean cars are often criticized for being flimsy because joint ventures in China cut corners. Are these models imported from Korea?

There's no such thing as retaining value. It plummets.

Global models, in the North American J.D. Power rankings, are on par with Lexus.

There is no problem with imports, and Hyundai-Kia is the third largest automaker in the world by sales.

The price is almost on par with a Mercedes C-Class.

It's stylish, but I think it's only cool for a couple or single person. Having people in the backseat feels really cramped.

This is an imported car, don't have preconceived notions, it's selling very well in the USA.

I think it's pretty good. If you like it, go give it a try.

My Hyundai Veloster once rear-ended a sedan Buick Verano, and the rear of the Verano was heavily damaged. However, I only had to replace the grille, repaint the bumper and the hood, and not even a single corner of the lights was damaged. The hood just had a bit of paint scraped off. I remember there was an accident case in the Veloster group where someone hit a stone pier at around 150 km/h. That should give you an idea of the safety level of imported Hyundai cars. 😁
