I have a 2011 Smart W451, and there's a buzzing noise after starting the engine. Here's what's happening: when I start the engine, everything is normal for the first 2 seconds, but after that, a low-frequency buzzing sound begins. The noise seems to come from the rear of the engine, near the inside of the passenger side. There are no fault codes, and everything else like acceleration and speed is smooth with no issues. I recently changed the fuel pump and haven't finished a full tank yet. The noise inside the car seems to be coming from below the passenger seat but slightly forward. I've changed the engine mounts, and the alternator belt looks fine. Has anyone experienced the same issue? Any help would be appreciated.

How did you solve it? Recently, my 2009 model 451 also makes a loud humming noise while driving. After it happened a few times, I accidentally discovered that pressing the radio power button on the center console solves it temporarily, but then the humming noise comes back after a while. Pressing the center console button again fixes it for now, but I haven't completely solved the problem. I'm not sure if it's the loudspeaker, the CD player, or something else, but it doesn't affect driving.

Try removing the engine compartment cover and listen again. I once had a situation where the cover was touching something inside the compartment, causing a strange noise.

Isn't the buzzing sound generally just the fuel pump?

Hi everyone, I have a 2016 3.6 Grand Cherokee. Recently, after switching to 0-20 oil, I've noticed a "doo-doo" sound coming from the exhaust area inside the car. It's not very noticeable when I get out of the car, seems like some kind of resonance. Also, after the oil change, the engine sounds louder. I've driven 400 km since then and there's no improvement. Any ideas?

There are knocking noises coming from the chassis, like "gudong gudong" and "gadeng gedeng". I replaced all 4 shock absorbers, but the noise persists. I checked the ball joints and the steering rack, but everything seems fine. Not sure where the noise is coming from in the Peugeot 301.

Chery Arrizo 3, sometimes there's a noise above the glove box. When driving, it usually stops, but after turning off the engine, closing the car door might cause the noise again. There's also a similar sound inside the passenger side B-pillar seatbelt. I want to take apart the dashboard to see if something is loose inside, but I'm not sure where to start. I've previously removed the bumper to install a loudspeaker and added a central control screen with a rearview camera. But I'm not sure how to start with the area above the glove box.

Hey fellow car enthusiasts, I've got a 2023 2.0T RuiShang and there's a strange noise when starting up. After starting, there's a "boom" sound after a little while. It happens every time, and it seems to be coming from near the driver's side door, around the left front wheel area. I've taken it to the dealership, but they couldn't find the cause. Has anyone else experienced this?

Does your SUV make a buzzing noise from the rear passenger side when driving at speeds of 20-30 on bumpy roads? There's no such sound from the driver's side. Without some music, it's really hard to ignore that noise!
