When driving a 2016 Middle East version of the Fortuner in low-speed 4WD (around 30 mph), I switched directly to neutral and then to high 4WD. After that, the car wouldn't move, and it rolls in P gear. What's the issue? Is it the transfer case or the transmission that's broken? Has anyone experienced the same situation? Thanks.

In low-speed four-wheel drive mode, my car does the same thing. Pressing the accelerator a bit more will make it move.

Try shifting the transfer case to neutral and back twice. If it still doesn't work, the transfer case might not be engaging properly.

It's possible that the transfer case hasn't switched to high-speed 4WD. While in neutral, I suggest trying it a couple of times to see if it works.

Just move it up and down a bit, and it should work.

If the car slips even when it's in park (P), it could be an issue with the transmission. It's recommended to have it checked out.
