Can I register a Renault Duster bought in a different location back in my hometown? Can I purchase insurance in my hometown? If there's a fault, how can I clear the fault codes? Do I need to go to the dealership where I bought the car, or can I just visit a nearby dealership? What should I pay attention to when buying a car from a different location?

There are basically no regulations on this, so you can register it locally, and the insurance is fine too. If there are any fault codes showing, you definitely need to go to the 4S shop. When buying a car, the main thing is to have all the documents complete, and there's nothing else much to it.

You can buy a car from a different location and register it locally. Just ensure you have the certificate of conformity, pay the purchase tax locally, and then go to the vehicle management office to register. As for any fault codes, they can be resolved at a local 4S dealership.
