My 2.3 can pull 3 tons without any issues, but the steering tends to drift a bit and the clutch is heavy.

With a 2.3 engine, it can haul at most a little over 3 tons. In areas like Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan, when carrying more than 2 tons, the uphill acceleration becomes noticeably weak. The most obvious shortcoming of the 2.3 is the lack of power at startup. First gear starts are too slow, and second gear starts feel sluggish, though it's okay when the vehicle is empty. This vehicle is better suited with a 3.0 engine to really have the power.
