When merging onto the highway with a CX-30 MT, which gear do you use to accelerate? From 50-80 km/h, there's not much power in 4th to 6th gear. Do you need to rev it up to 100 in 3rd gear?

Start in 2nd gear, shift to 3rd at 60, then to 4th at 100, and finally to 5th after 120.

I feel like this car has the most power at 3500 RPM. The engine sounds normal at that point, but over 4000 RPM, it starts to sound a bit scary. I guess the factory oil might not be suitable for running above 4000 RPM.

When shifting gears from 1-2 and 2-3, if the RPM is above 4000, it should be enough for you to accelerate faster than most cars. Then, when shifting from 3-4, press until 3000 RPM. The key point is to use 98-octane fuel.

Stepping on the gas pedal, surely there's no power if you don't step on it. 😁

Shift into neutral and coast once you gain speed, [666].

With a manual 4-speed, it's enough. Let the 5th and 6th gears rest. ✌️

5th or 6th gear. Want to accelerate quickly at 80... Shift down, yeah...

When entering a ramp with a curve, it's recommended to drive at 40-50 km/h. If there's no curve, check for oncoming traffic behind you, then shift gears at 3000 RPM to accelerate to 90-110 km/h. Once on the main road, increase your speed to 100-120 km/h.
