Why is the screen of the 2021 Compass completely black? Has anyone encountered this issue?

That's exactly my situation. The screen often goes black, but the sound still works. I've had it repaired several times before, and finally, the dealership said it needs an upgrade to fix it. However, since they exited the Chinese market, there are no upgrade packages available.
