When climbing a steep hill and you need to go slowly, use gear 1 or 2. For normal, less steep mountain roads, you can use D or D3. On roads with significant inclines, you'll generally use D3, especially when going downhill. Depending on the steepness and speed, you can switch from D to D3 or 2 to use the engine's braking assistance. On straight roads, if you need to overtake quickly, shifting to D3 and stepping on the gas will make it easy to overtake. When driving at high speeds over 100 km/h, it's not advisable to shift to D3 for overtaking because the required RPM might scare you. When decelerating on flat roads in D, you can also shift to D3 to slow down. This is how I drive my old Honda City, not sure if it's 100% correct, but I've been driving it for 13 years and it hasn't broken down yet. [Grin][Grin][Grin]

In D mode, the car drives normally. S mode offers better acceleration. L mode is used for driving uphill or downhill.
