I just bought a car and feel like I really can't drive it [facepalm]. I accidentally rev it too high. How many RPMs do you usually shift at? Before looking at the owner's manual, I was shifting at around 5000 RPM. Now my display shows an average fuel consumption of 10.4, and after driving just over 200 kilometers, the fuel tank is empty. My goodness 🤦, I'm refilling the tank once a week now. So should I shift when the dashboard suggests an upshift? Can I just shift from fourth or fifth gear to neutral when stopping at a red light, or is it better to downshift to third gear before going to neutral?

You can set the shift reminder yourself. I usually shift at over 4000 RPM. If you shift at 1000-2000 RPM, it loses the fun. You can shift to neutral from any gear. Just make sure you know the maximum RPM for each gear, and avoid downshifting from high speed to a low gear.

Shift gears at 2000 RPM, and a full tank should typically cover 500 kilometers.

The sound suggests that shifting gears at 3000 RPM feels the most comfortable.

The fuel tank indicator shows there's about 8 liters of fuel left. Saying it can go over 200 kilometers seems a bit exaggerated, right? Shifting gears normally at 3000 RPM should be enough. You can downshift freely, but definitely just shift to neutral.
