When starting a cold car, the RPM goes up to 2000 and then drops to 1500 but doesn't go any lower. The high idle speed is causing high fuel consumption, 20 liters for 300 kilometers! The idle speed is too high, and so is the fuel consumption. Can any experts provide a solution? 🙏

Are you automatic or manual transmission, and how's the fuel economy after you changed the thermostat? [I want some peace]

My EGR is normally 1400, not sure why.

The same issue, high RPM leads to high fuel consumption. Just replaced the thermostat today, idle is over 800. [Grin]

20 liters of fuel for 300 kilometers is still considered high consumption. What about my situation where 70 liters only covers 350 kilometers? / What is the city fuel consumption for the Volkswagen Teramont and the JAC Refine S7? /
