How does this car compare to the 720s in terms of value for money?

The headlights on the 720 really hit my aesthetic preferences, just like the ones on Guo Da's car. But they are just too expensive.

There's no such thing as "value for money" here. The 540 basically lands at around 2.2 or 2.3 million. The 720, including registration and tax, is about 3.7 million. There's not much difference in power with the 01. The 720 looks cooler and more like a supercar. For beginners, I recommend the 540. I have a 540 myself, and I think it's great. The 720 has quite a few issues, especially with the doors.

For everyday driving, the power of the 540C is sufficient. If you're seeking higher performance, then go for the 720S, which I personally feel looks better. However, for value for money, choose the 540C.
