It's normal for your NV200 to have a high idle speed of 2000 RPM when you start it cold, and then drop to 800 RPM after about a minute. This process helps the engine warm up. However, if it feels inconvenient, you might want to consult a mechanic to see if any adjustments can be made.

The engine fault code flashes at idle and stays on when starting. The fault indicates a misfire in cylinder two. After replacing the ignition coil and spark plugs, and cleaning the injectors, the fault code disappeared but returned after two days. Do you know what might be causing this?

When in Park and idling, if I rev the engine above 1600 RPM and then release the throttle, the RPM stays around 1600 for about ten seconds before it drops. This doesn't happen if I don't exceed 1600 RPM. Between 1600 and 2000 RPM, there's a noticeable jolt. Additionally, when shifting gears and slowly accelerating, there's a rattling noise between 1600 and 2000 RPM, but it disappears after 2000 RPM. Does anyone have any insights on this? Why is the idle speed around 600 to 700 RPM?

It's normal for the idle speed to fluctuate when you turn on the air conditioning in a 2013 1.6 manual fashion model. Sometimes the RPM might go up to around 900 or almost 1000, and other times it might be around 800. If you restart the engine and the RPM goes back to around 800, it's usually not a cause for concern.

After refueling my Jetta VS7 at the gas station, the idle speed tends to be high, around 1000 RPM. Then, during driving, the speed fluctuates.
