Dear fellow car enthusiasts, I've been experiencing an issue with my 2008 Yaris where it occasionally stalls while idling at a red light. After restarting, it might stall again at the next red light. This happens two or three times, but then it runs fine afterwards. There are no error codes on the dashboard, and when I took it to the repair shop, the diagnostics showed everything was normal. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

I just went out for a drive, and it seems like there's a problem on the way back. Is there anyone who knows about cars that can listen and tell if it's an engine issue? It's the holiday season, how should I fix it? (Mainly worried about further driving damaging the engine.) The specific situation is that on the way back, there was a noise indicating a fault, but no warning light came on. Then during two turns, the steering suddenly locked and the car stalled. Since I wasn't far from home, I drove a bit more and parked at home.

Today, while driving, the engine warning light suddenly came on. No other lights were on, but I felt the engine trembling and it lacked power. After driving for about 150 meters, during idling at a red light, the engine vibration was quite noticeable. When the light turned green and I accelerated, the trembling became more pronounced and it lacked acceleration. I pulled over immediately, waited for about 10 minutes, and after restarting, everything was back to normal. I restarted a few times afterward and everything was fine. The last time I started the car, I drove a few kilometers home and it was normal too. Has anyone experienced this issue? Does anyone know what might be going on?
