Is it worth buying a used Peugeot 206? Does it require a lot of maintenance?

The 2008 manual Peugeot 206, apart from its fuel consumption, doesn't require much repair.

As long as it can be driven, just hold on and wait until it absolutely must be repaired. You'll find yourself on the road to repairs in the future.

So, it depends on what level of repair you need. Just need it to run, or want it to run well? For example, my fuel gauge isn't very accurate, but it doesn't affect usage at all (just remember when you refueled and roughly how long you've been driving; it'll still light up red if you're really low). But I couldn't tolerate it, so I got it fixed for 970.

Not much, the entire chassis's wear-and-tear parts cost around 2k. The alternator belt and timing water pump are about 1k. Then it depends on your needs.
